Logistics & Transport Manager
Own the movement of our products from the Dambulla plant to the customer: inland transport, port delivery and the export paperwork that goes with it.
What you will do
- Plan inland transport from the Dambulla plant to customers and to Colombo Port
- Work with freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers on export shipments
- Prepare and check export documents with the sales and finance teams
- Manage transport contractors, rates and delivery performance
- Track shipments and keep buyers and the operations team informed
- Keep logistics costs under control and improve delivery planning
What we are looking for
- Experience managing transport or logistics, including export shipments
- Knowledge of export documentation and the port process in Sri Lanka
- Able to negotiate with transport and freight providers
- Organised, calm under deadlines and comfortable with Excel
- Valid driving licence; willing to travel between Dambulla and Colombo
